![]() ![]() ![]() Seems very likely the Switch will also get all of the ACA Neo Geo releases that have already shown up on PS4/Xbox One. I'm hoping that includes Dunk Dream/Street Hoops! Metal Slug 2 (probably the June 29 release) and Magical Drop 2 are the only other 100% confirmed upcoming releases, but apparently Hamster got other Data East licenses too. ![]() (though unlike what is claimed by HG101's rather terrible article, Sengoku 2 is a massive improvement and one game I'd wholearthly recomend should it come to the Switch)įatal Fury 2 on Thursday. I'd elaborate mroe on the many failings of Sengoku but I guess that's enough verbiage. It requires insane memorization and little else. The health system is totally broken: you need to pick up like 10 green balls to refill one square of the health meter in a game where every enemy attacks take off at least four times that. Some enemies completely refill the transformation timer upon defeat, but it's impossible tell which one do that. The main gimmick of the game is that you can transform into other characters you acquire as you progress in the game, and abuse their ranged attacks, but they're little better otherwise, and you can only use them for a limited time, and the timer refills slowly. Enemies have mercy invincibility when hit, which leads to many cheap shots because the main character is super slow, can't grab, and is outranged by nearly every enemy - it's impossible to not lose health against the samurai enemies for instance. But if you try to play it "seriously", it's pretty terrible. ![]() The theme is neat and it has enough cool aesthetics and good theming to be vaguely entertaining for a credit feeding session. Sengoku 1 is kinda fun as a mindless quarter muncher. ![]()
